SUMMARY:Secret Garden Party
DESCRIPTION:21st-24th July 2022 \nFollowing a 5 year break the Secret Garden Party is to return this summer to Grange Farm\, Abbots Ripton. \nThe tickets for the event were sold out in minutes and every endeavour was made to ensure that the attendees were of a suitable character.  There are no children permitted to attend this time\, and only a very small number of tickets have been purchased by 18-21 year olds\, making for a responsible atmosphere. \nAlthough many of the favourite features remain\, the footprint of the site has reduced to 2 arenas.  We have capped ticket sales at considerably less than our licensed capacity; otherwise our license granted by HDC remains unchanged.   Our event management plan has been developed in full consultation with the Emergency services\, Environmental Health\, Traffic control and the council. \nWe have a full and very thorough Security provision; there will 24hr roving teams in the surrounding villages from both our Security partner and the Police service.  Sound will be monitored as per the guidance in our License and monitoring equipment will be placed in the appropriate positions in the villages in consultation with Environmental Health. \nWe have many green initiatives in place to minimise our environmental impact as well as green initiatives to encourage the use of public and coach transport. Traffic will be directed to site via Jubilee Park following guidance from Traffic Control at the council.  We have ensured provision on site for getting customers through the gates and off the road quickly to minimise disruption to the road.  Should we need to close the road to manage traffic our stewards will allow local villagers with proof of address to pass through. \nThe event times are as follows: \n\nGates open from 8am Thursday 21st July.\nCampsites open at 10am.\nArenas will be open from 12 noon Thursday.\nArenas close on Monday morning\nCampsites close at 1pm Monday 25th July .\nStrictly no entry or re-entry to site each day between 10pm-8am.\nNo first time entry to site after 4pm Sunday 24th July.\n\nWe have recognised the need for an enhanced Harm Reduction focus and are providing welfare support of all attendees and crew within the event. \nWe will follow any guidance suggested by the Health Authorities on Covid safety; currently there is no guidance but we are monitoring changes.  We will ensure a regime of cleaning of frequently touched surfaces and have ensured that handwashing and showering provision is enhanced.  The medical team have a separate Covid treatment tent. \nShould you have any concerns about public behaviour or that the practice of the Secret Garden Party falls outside of our license constraints\, a dedicated concerns hotline manned 24hrs during the event is available : 01480 589206. \nThis is NOT the number for general enquiries.  Any less urgent questions can be directed to locals@secretgardenparty.com. \nWe hope that The Secret Garden Party will be of benefit to the local economy and that many of our neighbours will enjoy attending the event.  We thank you for your support and kind words and are delighted that many of you are excited about our return! \n  \nIf you would like to come…we’d love to have you! \nTickets are available to you\, our beloved locals of Abbots Ripton\, Kings Ripton\, Wennington\, The Raveleys and Broughton. We will ensure that you have access on foot and a convenient parking arrangement within the festival. You must be a current resident or business owner at the stated address and be able to prove that is the case with a recent form of photo ID and a household bill/official letter. \nWe have a limited number of tickets\, available on a first come\, first served basis.  Please email us at locals@secretgardenparty.com for instructions on how to apply.  Tickets are available for the greatly reduced sum of £60 per person\, which is to include an invitation to a local’s gathering at a venue at the party.
